Æbleskiver 'n Jam Day
July
Enjoy all you can eat æbleskiver and jam while volunteer musicians entertain you by jamming on stage.
Watch demonstrations of æbleskiver cooking by an expert.

Viking Days
August
This is our biggest event of the year, typically attracting over 700 visitors who are interested in Viking lore.
Through the cooperation of Viking re-enactment groups from Calgary and Edmonton, visitors can tour the Viking encampment which shows living accommodations, cooking methods, and crafts. Sample some mead (a favourite of ancient Vikings) which is a type of wine made from honey.
Visitors to our event can tour the Viking village, experience some Viking history, and see watch a battle re-enactment.

Viking Feast
August
This is a memorable evening of eating through the ages with the Vikings in our event tent in the Viking Village on Friday and Saturday evening. Participants will enjoy an authentic Danish meal with seven courses of traditional Danish cuisine.
Sample Viking mead--a traditional wine made from honey. Participants can tour the Viking village, experience Viking history, and watch a battle re-enactment.
Get your tickets early, this event always sells out.
If you ask nicely, a Viking might even join your table for dinner.

Haunted Forest
The Plagues of Denmark
October
The entire grounds will be transformed into a creepy, haunted forest! With unsettling plague doctors, selfish lords, and infected Vikings.
There will be a firepit burning to keep you safe and warm. Food and refreshment available at concession. It is fun for the whole family.
Admission by donation.
Donations go towards the museum to help us host free events like this in the future, and to the Spruce View grad class who are partnering with us for this event.

Jul Nats
November & December
The grounds, Saga cafe, and gift shop will be transformed into a Christmas lights wonderland, with a Hygge atmosphere wrapping the place in warmth, and good cheer.
Walk the grounds to enjoy the Christmas lights and decorated trees, shop in our gift shop for Danish and local stocking stuffers, and sit in our cafe to enjoy warm food, delicious treats and hot drinks.
