Granly Hall Expansion

Exciting things are happening at the Museum. Thanks to a generous donation from the Granly Church, a much needed Museum expansion is getting closer to reality. Please give generously and give our past a future.

The Vision

A new Saga Cafe and commercial kitchen to provide the immersive experience of a "taste of Denmark" in Canada. The planned building will increase cafe seating capacity to 80 indoors with a large patio overlooking the pond, Naust and Dagmar Pioneer Church. The basement will house much needed storage space and a meeting room which can be rented to provide another revenue stream. Once the new building is finished, the Verbena Dormitory will be renovated to convert the current Saga Cafe and kitchen to exhibit space which will provide opportunities to exhibit our 5000 artifacts that are currently in storage. It will also increase the artifact and archival storage capacity so the Museum can continue to accept items that showcase our Danish Canadian heritage.
